Whether you're clearing out a wardrobe, selling a fridge before you move or running a shop, the sellers who sell fastest tend to do the same few things well. None of them cost money. Here are ten that make the biggest difference.
Make your listing easy to find
Write the title buyers search for
Put the brand, model and the most important detail first, such as "Samsung 55-inch Smart TV, 4K" or "Nike Air Force 1, UK 9, white". Leave out words like "neat" or "sharp sharp" in the title. Put them in the description instead.
Pick the right category and area
Buyers often browse by category and by area, like fashion in Osu or furniture in East Legon. Choose the pickup area closest to where you can actually meet, so your listing shows up for the right local buyers.
Fill in the details
Wujibaba's sell form asks for details like brand, size or model depending on the category. Each one you fill in answers a question a buyer would otherwise have to send you, and buyers skip listings that leave them guessing.
Make it look good
Shoot in daylight
Take photos near a window or outside in the shade, not under a yellow bulb at night. Wipe the item down first and clear the background.
Show everything, including the flaws
Add up to five photos: the front, the back, close-ups of labels or model numbers and any scratches. Showing a small flaw honestly builds more trust than hiding it, and it saves an argument at pickup.
Price it to sell
Check what similar items are listed for
Search Wujibaba for the same item and see what others are asking. For a quick sale, price a little under the typical asking price. For something rare or in excellent condition, you can ask more, but say why in the description.
Leave a little room to negotiate
Many Ghanaian buyers expect to bargain. Set your price slightly above the lowest you'll accept so both of you can meet in the middle and feel good about it.
Close the sale
Reply fast on WhatsApp
Buyers message several sellers at once, and the first good reply usually wins. Turn on notifications and answer within the hour if you can.
Make meeting easy
Suggest a specific, busy public place and a time. "Accra Mall entrance, Saturday 11am" closes more sales than "anywhere is fine".
Keep your listings up to date
Mark items as sold as soon as they go, so buyers trust that your other listings are still available. Issue a receipt from your dashboard after a sale. Buyers with a receipt can leave you a verified review, and good reviews help your next sale.
Selling a lot?
Free accounts can have up to five live listings at a time. If you run a shop or sell often, Wujibaba Pro removes the limit, puts your listings at the top of search and category pages, and gives you a branded store page you can share on WhatsApp Status.
Ready? List your first item. It's free and takes about a minute.
